Isla Mujeres, an idyllic five-mile-long island a short boat ride off the coast of Cancun, Mexico, is a laid-back alternative to the buzzy resort city with white-sand beaches, excellent restaurants, and an emerging luxury hotel scene. And today, the island welcomes Luxury Collection's first all-inclusive Mexican resort.

Almare, a Luxury Collection All-Inclusive Resort, is an adults-only property overlooking the Mexican coast with unobstructed ocean views, 109 suites, a spa, a beach club, and six dining spots.

"Isla Mujeres is a hidden gem of the Caribbean, and Almare perfectly encapsulates the spirit of this unique destination. Our guests can expect an unparalleled experience that seamlessly blends the natural beauty of the island with refined luxury and exceptional service," Philipp Weghmann, vice president and global brand leader of Marriott's Luxury Collection, said in a press release shared with Travel + Leisure.

Guests arrive on the property after a 20-minute boat ride aboard the resort's private boat and check into the spacious accommodations, clad in natural woods and high-end finishes inspired by Isla Mujeres' landscape. All suites feature private balconies, ample lounge spaces, plush king-size beds, and soaking bathtubs.

The culinary program, helmed by executive chef Daniel Franco, offers a variety of settings and cuisines and comprises a coffee shop, a food truck, a rooftop restaurant with panoramic views, and a poolside bar.

Boga, a breakfast and dinner restaurant, fuses authentic Mexican and Mayan flavors prepared with local ingredients, while Seasalt, an elevated rooftop dining concept, blends Mexican and European influences and boasts 360-degree ocean vistas.

"Almare is not just a resort; it's a celebration of Isla Mujeres' rich culture and natural beauty," Enrique Solari, the property's general manager of Almare, said. "Our team has crafted every aspect of the guest experience to reflect the island's charm and allure, from our curated dining offerings to the immersive activities and sustainable practices that are at the heart of our operations."

During the day, guests can stay active with water activities such as snorkeling, paddle boarding, and kayak tours. In the evening, they can kick back and enjoy nightly performances. As part of the Luxury Collection, the property also offers signature experiences like private yacht charters, fishing excursions, and cooking and mixology classes.
